Transfer: Sankhoun Diawara signs with AC Milan until 2031

AC Milan continues its recruitment strategy focused on young talents. The Lombard club officially announced this Tuesday the signing of Sankhoun Diawara, arriving from ESTAC Troyes. The 20-year-old Senegalese defender has signed a contract running until June 30, 2031, with an option for an additional year.

In its official statement, the Italian club outlined the player's journey, who was developed at FC Solitaires Paris, then CA Paris-Charenton, before joining Troyes' academy in 2020. After several seasons of steady progress, Diawara made his debut with the first team in November 2024 in the Coupe de France, before gradually establishing himself within the Troyes squad.

A standout season with Troyes

The 2025-2026 season marked a turning point in Sankhoun Diawara's career. Across all competitions, the defender made 17 appearances for ESTAC Troyes, playing a key role in the club's return to Ligue 1, which culminated in a Ligue 2 title.

His performances confirmed his potential. Strong in challenges, composed in build-up play, and versatile in central defense, the Franco-Guinean caught the eye of several European clubs before AC Milan secured his signature.
