Transfer window: this young Ghanaian talent set to join FC Porto

FC Porto is on the verge of signing one of the most promising young talents in Ghanaian football. Kelvin Nkrumah, winger for Medeama SC and captain of Ghana's U20 national team, is expected to join the Dragons soon.

Nkrumah to start with the youth squad

Medeama SC president Moses Armah has confirmed that the young player's transfer is at an advanced stage. The Portuguese club has reportedly managed to convince the Ghana Premier League side, despite competition from several Austrian teams interested in the player’s profile. Upon arriving in Portugal, Kelvin Nkrumah is initially expected to join FC Porto's U19 team.

The club wants to give him time to gradually adapt to the demands of European football before considering a promotion to the B team. Despite being just 18, Nkrumah already has some international experience. As captain of Ghana U20, he has also received a call-up to the senior Black Stars squad, although he has yet to make his debut.
