Tunisian attacking midfielder Hannibal Mejbri delivered a positive and reassuring message to supporters following the 1-0 defeat against Austria on Monday night in Vienna, during a friendly match as part of both teams' preparations for the 2026 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Sabri Lamouchi's men were edged out by a single goal scored by Marcel Sabitzer in the 62nd minute.

Despite Konrad Laimer being sent off in the 37th minute, forcing Austria to play a man down for much of the match, Firas Chaouat and his teammates were unable to capitalize on the numerical advantage to pull level.

Mejbri: "There are many positives to take away"

Following the match, Hannibal Mejbri made a point of thanking Tunisian supporters for their unwavering support.
