Several African U17 players have claimed the coveted Golden Boot, awarded to the tournament's top scorer at the U17 World Cup.

They include Moussa Traoré (Ivory Coast), Fodé Camara (Guinea), Wilson Oruma (Nigeria), Ishmael Addo (Ghana), Macauley Chrisantus (Nigeria), Souleymane Coulibaly (Ivory Coast), and Victor Osimhen (Nigeria).
