CAN 2025: It's already a ticketing disaster
CAN 2025

The presale of tickets for CAN Morocco 2025 is already causing controversy.

On Thursday, September 25, 2025, the first ticket presale (30% of stadium capacity) for the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco was launched. This initial phase is exclusively for Visa cardholders, the official partner of the competition. The presale is set to run until September 27, after which the first general public sale will take place. A second presale, following the same process and again covering 30% of stadium capacity, will be held from October 21 to 23. Finally, the remaining tickets will go on sale on November 21.

But there's a problem: the first presale has already been derailed by a massive technical issue. Just minutes after sales went live, the virtual queue froze. To make matters worse, a message appeared announcing the ticketing platform was out of service: "Ticketing is temporarily unavailable. Due to high demand, all available tickets are currently being purchased. Thank you for your understanding." As of now, the website is still not functioning.
