Arsenal: Josh Ogunnaike with the Gunners to face Bayern
Still eligible to represent Nigeria, Josh Ogunnaike took part in Arsenal's first-team training session on Tuesday, on the eve of their UEFA Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.
Ogunnaike has impressed the Gunners' manager, Mikel Arteta. This is thanks to a series of outstanding performances with the club's youth teams. This success earned him the opportunity to train alongside the professional players as Arsenal prepare for this crucial European match.
The young Nigerian left-back has also stood out for Arsenal's youth team, notably scoring one goal in two appearances in the UEFA Youth League this season.
An opportunity for Josh Ogunnaike to seize
Despite his performances at youth level, Josh Ogunnaike has not yet made his first-team debut for Arsenal. His presence in training also gives the Spanish coach an additional option at left-back.
Ogunnaike will therefore be keen to convince Arteta of his qualities during training sessions, in the hope of earning playing time with the first team and, ultimately, making his senior debut in Arsenal's colours.
