UEFA: Real Madrid wants to strip 35 titles from FC Barcelona
In the Negreira case, Real Madrid refuses to back down.
Los Blancos are ramping up legal proceedings to shed full light on the alleged payments made by FC Barcelona to José María Enríquez Negreira, the former vice-president of the referees’ technical committee. According to AS, the Merengues have asked the judge to force Barça to submit their entire compliance system from 2010 to 2018.
Real Madrid is also demanding that the Civil Guard provide several missing financial documents for the case. These include invoices, payment authorizations, internal circuits, and company audits. At Valdebebas, Real is determined to see the process through, both on legal and sporting grounds.
The club from the Spanish capital has also asked UEFA to strip FC Barcelona of the titles won during the period in question in the Negreira case, from 2001 to 2018—a total of 35 trophies.
