World Cup 2026: big jackpot for the Black Stars

The Black Stars are set to benefit from a major financial package for their participation in the 2026 World Cup. The Ghanaian government has approved the release of 76.46 million cedis to support the national team throughout the tournament.

According to information from the Ministry of Finance, this funding is split into two main allocations. The first tranche of 58.93 million cedis, equivalent to around 5 million dollars, is designated to cover the costs of the team's preparation as well as their group stage campaign at the global tournament.

The second portion, amounting to 17.53 million cedis, is reserved for paying the qualification bonuses owed to the players, in line with performance agreements established during the qualifiers.

This funding comes as the Black Stars continue their preparations for the tournament. Ghana is aiming to approach the competition with the best possible sporting and logistical conditions.
