World Cup 2026: Mbappé leaves the French squad

On Monday night, France found reassurance by beating Northern Ireland in Lille (3-1) in their final match before the start of the 2026 World Cup. Immediately afterward, Kylian Mbappé left the squad.

After this second friendly, Didier Deschamps' players have a day off today. Some took the opportunity to temporarily leave the French camp.

According to 90 Minutes, Kylian Mbappé boarded a flight right after the match to head to Madrid, while Michael Olise did the same, but traveled to Munich. The French squad is scheduled to meet tomorrow at noon at Clairefontaine before departing for the United States and Boston.
