World Cup 2026 Qualifiers: Change in date for Mali vs Comoros clash

Originally scheduled for March 21, the match between Mali and Comoros for the 5th round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers has been moved up to March 20, 2025, at the Stade de Berkane in Morocco.

The Malian Football Federation (FEMAFOOT) announced on March 6, 2025, the change of date for the match counting for the 5th round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. No official reason has been provided for this change.

Comoros currently leads Group I with 9 points from four matches, followed by Ghana (9 points), Madagascar (7 points), and Mali (5 points). The Eagles of Mali must secure a victory to stay in contention for qualification.
