World Cup 2026: “Thank you God,” Neymar’s message before Brazil-Morocco
Just hours before Brazil’s debut in the 2026 World Cup against Morocco, Neymar shared an emotional message on his social networks. Still recovering from injury, the Brazilian forward won’t be able to take part in this opening match of the tournament, but he is determined to experience the event as closely as possible alongside his teammates.
“Thank you my God... thank you for allowing me to live this once again,” wrote the Seleção star on his X account, expressing his gratitude despite being sidelined.
According to several sources, Neymar has been given permission to join the team on the bench for the match against the Atlas Lions. While he won’t be on the official team sheet, he will be alongside the substitutes and the technical staff to support his teammates.
Earlier in the day, the former Brazil captain continued his rehabilitation program away from the group, under the supervision of the national team’s medical staff.
His absence is a heavy blow for Brazil ahead of this highly anticipated Group C clash. However, Neymar’s presence on the sidelines could provide a vital morale boost for a Brazilian squad aiming to kick off their 2026 World Cup campaign on the right foot.
