Hervé Renard's stint on the Tunisia bench lasted just two matches, but it reportedly earned him a hefty sum. According to the Arabic outlet Wimwim, the French manager pocketed €200,000 for leading the Carthage Eagles in their final two group stage games at the World Cup.

Appointed in a rush following the dismissal of Sabri Lamouchi, Hervé Renard struck a short-term deal with the Tunisian Football Federation. The contract covered only the two remaining first-round matches, with the option to renegotiate terms if Tunisia progressed to the knockout stages.

However, that scenario will not materialize. Already knocked out of the tournament, the Tunisian team will not feature in the round of 16, bringing Renard's brief assignment to an end after the final group fixture.

With this paycheck, Hervé Renard averaged €100,000 per match managed—about 1.2 million Brazilian reais. This figure highlights the high stakes and rapid decisions made in the heat of a global tournament.

Despite this whirlwind experience, the French coach maintains his reputation as a short-term specialist on the African continent, having previously won two Africa Cup of Nations titles with Zambia and Ivory Coast.
