Yan Diomandé: RB Leipzig denies any agreement with Real Madrid
The saga surrounding Ivorian international Yan Diomandé is far from over in this summer transfer window. RB Leipzig has just issued a new statement.
While several media outlets have reported in recent days that an agreement had been reached between RB Leipzig and Real Madrid, the German club's sporting director, Marcel Schäfer, has denied these claims. "It's clear that some so-called transfer experts reported a few days ago that the deal was done or gave it the 'here we go.' That's simply not the case. We're not at that stage yet," he told Sky Sports Germany.

Marcel Schäfer also confirmed that no major breakthrough is expected in the immediate future regarding the Ivorian international's move to Los Blancos. According to German media, negotiations surrounding Yan Diomandé are completely independent from those involving Fisnik Asllani, whose transfer from Hoffenheim is being handled separately as it concerns a different position.
