The head coach of Senegal's national team, Pape Thiaw, has announced the list of 26 players selected for the matches against Sudan and Togo, part of the fifth and sixth rounds of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, set to take place in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

According to the official account of the Senegalese Football Federation on the platform (X), Pape Thiaw's list is notable for the inclusion of six new players called up to represent the "Lions of Teranga" in the upcoming fixtures. These players are: Reims goalkeeper Yehvann Diouf, Nice defender Antoine Mendy, Standard Liège player Ilay Camara, Como forward Assane Diao, current top scorer of the Senegalese league Richard Sagna, and Hellas Verona midfielder Cheikh Niasse.

The list also includes renowned players such as Sadio Mané, Al-Nassr's forward (Saudi Arabia), Pape Matar Sarr, Tottenham's midfielder (England), Al-Ahli's goalkeeper (Saudi Arabia), Édouard Mendy, and Al-Hilal's defender (Saudi Arabia), Kalidou Koulibaly, along with other stars.
