Monday brought a rare statistic at the 2026 World Cup. We saw scoreless draw between Spain and Cape Verde (0-0), Belgium and Egypt sharing the spoils (1-1), Saudi Arabia and Uruguay locked in a stalemate (1-1), and Iran and New Zealand finishing level (2-2). Four games, all ending in draws, on the same day.

Such a scenario had only happened once before in the entire history of the tournament. That was on June 15, 1958, in Sweden. In a quirky twist of fate, this feat was matched exactly 68 years to the day.
