2026 World Cup: FIFA still has tickets to sell

FIFA has released its first ticket sales update for the 2026 World Cup. More than six million tickets have already been snapped up for the 104 matches scheduled across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Despite this huge demand, many matches have yet to reach full capacity. Several knockout stage games—including some quarter-finals and semi-finals—still have tickets available. The organization expects sales to keep rising as the tournament unfolds, especially with new seats reserved until now being released onto the market.

However, ticket prices have sparked debate, with some fans calling the rates too steep for certain fixtures. Just hours before the opening whistle, FIFA remains upbeat and expects to welcome millions of spectators into stadiums throughout this historic edition featuring 48 national teams.
