2026 World Cup - France: good news for William Saliba

William Saliba is giving Didier Deschamps no cause for concern just four days before the 2026 World Cup.

The manager of the French national team is counting on his center-back for tomorrow’s friendly against Northern Ireland. "All 26 players will be available for tomorrow’s match. He’s being monitored by the medical staff, and we’re managing him based on how he feels. But it’s something he’s been dealing with for several weeks and it hasn’t stopped him from playing every match for Arsenal, including that (Champions League final against PSG, editor’s note) where he played 120 minutes." Deschamps told Téléfoot.

For this final preparation match, the French manager may once again pair Saliba with Dayot Upamecano at the heart of his defense.
