Yesterday, the French national team players took advantage of Philippe Diallo’s visit—the president of the federation—to Clairefontaine to discuss several sensitive issues.

Kylian Mbappé and his teammates brought up the topic of bonuses, as well as the thorny issue of ticket allocations for family and friends at the various World Cup matches. According to L’Equipe, it’s a topic that “creates tension.”

The FFF president proposed to allocate two tickets per player per match, with the option for players to purchase six additional tickets if desired. That makes eight tickets in total—a figure the players consider “far too low.”
