A major decision has just been announced on the eve of the semi-final between France and Spain.

Indeed, following a request from France, FIFA has given the green light for a minute of silence before the semi-final of this 2026 World Cup between France and Spain in Dallas. This will be in tribute to the 86 victims of the Nice attack on July 14, 2016.

"Before France-Spain, a minute of silence will be observed in remembrance of the victims of the Nice attack, ten years after July 14, 2016. Thank you to the President of FIFA for responding to France's request and to all the French people who came together. We will never forget," said President Emmanuel Macron on social network X.
