With Argentina, Lionel Messi has kicked off this 2026 World Cup in spectacular fashion. The Inter Miami star netted a hat-trick against Algeria. On Friday, Lamine Yamal was swept up in admiration for the player who boasts an incredible eight Ballon d'Or awards.

“Messi’s hat-trick? Every match proves he’s the greatest player in history. If anyone still has doubts, it’s because they’re deliberately looking for them. There’s nothing more to say. Neymar is my IDOL, but Messi is the greatest of all time.” said Lamine Yamal.
