With the Croatian national team, Luka Modric has once again etched his name into history against Panama.

Starting for Croatia against Panama (1-0) last night in the 2026 World Cup, Luka Modric earned his 200th international cap.

The AC Milan midfielder thus becomes only the third player ever to reach this iconic milestone. Modric now stands behind Cristiano Ronaldo (230 caps) and Lionel Messi (201). After the match, the Croatian Football Federation celebrated the achievement by presenting their captain with a commemorative jersey.
