2026 World Cup - Morocco: Mohamed Ouahbi's regrets after elimination
On Thursday night, Morocco were outplayed by France (0-2) in the quarter-finals of this 2026 World Cup.
Speaking to beIN Sports, Atlas Lions head coach Mohamed Ouahbi expressed his regrets. He reflected on the controversial opening goal, which came after a handball by Adrien Rabiot.
"The first goal came from an action that was a bit... some players stopped because they saw a handball (by Adrien Rabiot). There was a handball. I don't know if it should have been called or not. Then there was the individual play from Mbappé, who scored. It was tough at the end. I think we have to keep believing, keep working. (...) We'll keep going, we won't stop here. We're really disappointed, we wanted more, but we have to accept it," said the Moroccan coach.
