2026 World Cup - Spain: Nico Williams causes concern

Spain holds its breath for Nico Williams just weeks before the 2026 World Cup.

According to Cope this Sunday, Nico Williams was forced to leave his teammates before halftime against Valencia. After suffering a right adductor injury while crossing, the young Spaniard sat down on the pitch before leaving the field, hiding his face. He was visibly upset and comforted by his coach, Ernesto Valverde.

"It’s not possible, it’s not possible," he reportedly said as he left the pitch. While awaiting the results of his medical exams, concern is growing among both Basque fans and the Spanish national team camp, with just a month to go until the 2026 World Cup.
