For the first time in history, ten African nations are competing in a World Cup. Among them, Ivory Coast tops the ranking of the continent’s most valuable squads, ahead of Morocco and Senegal.

Africa has never been so well represented on the global stage. Indeed, ten teams from the continent are taking part in the 2026 World Cup, a historic record that highlights the steady rise of African football in recent years.

Meanwhile, Transfermarkt figures place Ivory Coast at the summit of the continent with a squad valued at €522 million. Morocco (€490 million) and Senegal (€478 million) complete the podium. However, Algeria (€257 million) and Ghana (€237 million) also remain among the most valuable African nations in the tournament.
