Last night, England hit a roadblock against Ghana (0-0) on matchday 2 of Group L at this 2026 World Cup.

For the Three Lions' manager, England came up against a notably solid defense.

"You have to give them credit. I have rarely seen a team put in such a physical performance. They defended with ten men, forming a very, very deep block, which made things difficult for us because they were so disciplined and strong in every position. It took us quite some time to break them down and find our rhythm. It was up to us to set the tempo. At the same time, we had to be careful not to get caught on the counterattack because they were lightning quick," Thomas Tuchel explained to the BBC.
