Mostafa Abdel Raouf " Zico " opened the scoring for Egypt against South Sudan on Tuesday during the second round of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Pharaohs are currently facing South Sudan at Juba National Stadium, with the aim of securing their first victory in this qualifying campaign.

The Egyptian striker found the net in the 35th minute. After a fine team move, Ahmed Fatouh delivered a cross to Zico, who finished with his left foot to put the Pharaohs ahead.

For this match, Hossam Hassan started Mostafa Shobeir in goal, with Mohamed Hany, Hossam Abdel Meguid, Rami Rabia and Ahmed Fatouh in front of him.

Mohanad Lasheen, Marwan Attia and Emam Ashour make up the midfield, while Haitham Hassan, Mostafa Zico and Omar Marmoush are paired in attack.

On matchday one, Egypt had been held to a 0-0 draw by Angola in Cairo. South Sudan, meanwhile, lost 2-1 to Malawi.
