DR Congo beat Zimbabwe 2-1 at Harare's National Sports Stadium and remain perfect in these 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Wissa leads the Leopards

Sébastien Desabre's men made the difference in the first half. Yoan Wissa, in excellent form, opened the scoring in the 30th minute after an error by the opposing goalkeeper before setting up Samuel Moutoussamy just before the break to give his side a two-goal cushion.

Zimbabwe react too late

After the break, the Warriors pushed forward. Marshall Munetsi pulled one back in stoppage time to create a little suspense, but the final whistle soon followed.

After their victory over Equatorial Guinea (2-0) on Thursday in Kinshasa, the Leopards followed it up with this away win. Six points from six, they lead Group E after the first two matchdays. Zimbabwe, who had made a strong start by beating Sierra Leone 3-2, saw their run come to an end.
