AC Milan: Ruben Amorim puts six players on the transfer list

Ruben Amorim has reportedly given the green light for six key players to leave in order to accelerate AC Milan’s summer rebuild.

The big shake-up is underway at AC Milan. According to Sky Sports, Ruben Amorim has placed six players on the transfer list: Fikayo Tomori, Youssouf Fofana, Christopher Nkunku, Filippo Terracciano, Santiago Gimenez, and Pervis Estupiñan. The club’s management can now review any offers received before the transfer window closes.

Nkunku and Tomori also set to depart

The presence of several core players on this list underlines Amorim’s determination to quickly stamp his authority on the squad. Christopher Nkunku is reportedly no longer part of the new coach’s plans, despite his relatively recent arrival. Tomori, Fofana, and Gimenez also have significant market value, which could help finance new signings for the club.

Appointed this summer to replace Massimiliano Allegri, the Portuguese manager has signed a two-year contract, keeping him at the club until June 2028. There is an option for AC Milan to extend his deal until 2029. Amorim is expected to earn around €3.5 million per year, excluding bonuses.

AC Milan to play in the Europa League

The Rossoneri are coming off a disappointing season. Finishing fifth in Serie A in 2025-2026, the Lombardy club narrowly missed out on Champions League qualification. This position, however, will allow them to compete in the Europa League in the 2026-2027 campaign.

Ruben Amorim now faces the challenge of building a team capable of quickly reclaiming a top-four spot in Italy while also chasing European silverware. The possible sales of these six sidelined players could prove decisive in the final phase of Milan’s transfer window.
