Zamalek SC have officially closed all outstanding FIFA-related cases after settling the required financial obligations and resolving all pending disputes removing the final obstacle to obtaining their CAF club license before the July 25 deadline.

Zamalek Eligible for CAF Champions League After Resolving All Outstanding Issues

Zamalek vice-president Hisham Nasr confirmed via the club's official "Zamalkawy" application that the board had settled the outstanding dues owed to former winger Ibrahima Ndiaye.

The club also reached an agreement with Ukrainian side FC Oleksandriya over the transfer of Brazilian forward Juan Bezerra bringing both FIFA-related cases to a definitive close.

Nasr revealed that the board, led by president Hussein Labib, faced several challenges during the negotiations. Despite the complexities involved, the club successfully completed all the required procedures ensuring its eligibility to participate in CAF competitions without any administrative restrictions.

As a result, Zamalek are set to return to the CAF Champions League after a three-season absence having qualified by winning the 2025/26 Egyptian Premier League title.

During their absence from Africa's premier club competition, the Cairo giants competed in the CAF Confederation Cup lifting the trophy in 2024 before finishing runners-up in the 2026 edition.
