Al Ahli: Mohamed Salah, the dream successor to Riyad Mahrez

In search of a new attacking star, Al Ahli has reportedly set its sights on Mohamed Salah. The Liverpool forward is being touted by multiple outlets as the dream successor to Riyad Mahrez, whose departure is widely reported, though the Saudi club has yet to make any official statement.

Al Ahli is dreaming of another sensational move in the transfer market. According to reports from Sky Sports, Goal.com, and several Saudi media outlets, the Jeddah-based club has begun preliminary steps to assess the feasibility of signing Mohamed Salah, who is seen internally as the ideal replacement for Riyad Mahrez.

Indeed, several media outlets are reporting the imminent departure of the Algerian international and have even named the Egyptian as his designated replacement. However, Al Ahli has yet to officially announce Mahrez's exit, nor has the club confirmed a contract termination or transfer for its captain.
