Alejandro Baena's unprecedented hat-trick with Spain

At 25 years old, Alejandro Baena has just achieved a feat no other footballer has ever accomplished. The Spanish winger has etched his name in history by clinching three major titles over the past two years.

Indeed, the Atlético de Madrid left winger has become the first footballer to win, in consecutive fashion, a European Championship, an Olympic Games, and a World Cup.

Euro 2024 in Germany

Alejandro Baena was part of the Spanish squad that lifted the 2024 European Championship trophy in Germany. Even though he saw limited playing time, he was crowned champion alongside his teammates.

His Euro 2024 campaign amounted to just 25 minutes across two group stage matches against Italy and Switzerland.

Paris 2024 Olympic Games

A few weeks later, he was called up by Santi Denia for the men's football tournament at the 2024 Olympics. Baena established himself as an undisputed starter, scoring and assisting in the final win over France (5-3).

Argentine stars Lionel Messi and Angel Di Maria have also won these three titles in their careers, but not consecutively like Baena.
