Algeria: uncertainty surrounds Aïssa Mandi and Nabil Bentaleb
With their contracts at LOSC expiring, Aïssa Mandi and Nabil Bentaleb are still in the dark about what the future holds. However, recent statements from Lille president Olivier Létang suggest a positive outcome could be on the horizon for several ongoing negotiations.
The futures of Aïssa Mandi and Nabil Bentaleb at LOSC remain unresolved, but Olivier Létang's latest comments offer a glimmer of optimism. With both Algerian internationals set to become free agents on June 30, there's a chance they could continue their journey in the North.

The Lille president has been cautious about ongoing talks, while clearly leaving the door open for several contract extensions.
"We are having open discussions with several players who are out of contract. I won't discuss individual cases today, but we will communicate more when the time is right," he explained on RMC.
Without naming Mandi or Bentaleb directly, Olivier Létang also highlighted the commitment of several key players to the Lille project.
"No one is indifferent to LOSC today. There is a shared desire to stay and be part of the project. It is very likely that a number of these lads will still be with us next season," he added.
This certainly fuels hope for a contract extension for both Fennecs after the 2026 World Cup.
