Ballon d'Or 2026: PSG angry with France Football

War has broken out in the race for the 2026 Ballon d'Or. Paris Saint-Germain cannot stomach a decision by France Football.

The battle for the 2026 Ballon d'Or is under way between all the contenders for the ultimate individual honour. For the past few days, each candidate has been putting forward their arguments. The clubs are supporting them in their efforts, with Real Madrid backing Kylian Mbappé, FC Barcelona behind Yamal, Bayern fully supporting Harry Kane and PSG defending its Dembélé-Kvaratskhelia duo.

It must be said that Paris Saint-Germain had authorised France Football to conduct an interview with the trio of Fabian Ruiz, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembélé, but the Parisian club was not pleased to see, once the magazine was published, that Kylian Mbappé was the one given the most prominence. At least, that is what Le Parisien reports. This led to criticism of the publication that oversees the Ballon d'Or.
