Barcelona - Getafe (3-0): Barça maintain perfect Liga record
Without Raphinha, Barça once again cruised past Getafe thanks to Gordon, Gabriel Jesus and Koundé, who set a historic record.
Barcelona are continuing their perfect start to the season. Returning to competitive action after the international break, the Catalan club comfortably beat Getafe 3-0 on Saturday in the 8th round of La Liga. Hansi Flick's side have thus recorded an eighth win in as many league matches.
Without Raphinha, who was rested after experiencing a thigh problem, but with Joan Garcia back in goal, Barça needed just two minutes to take the lead. Anthony Gordon capitalised on a confused passage of play on the edge of the box before beating David Soria with a deflected shot to score his first goal in the Blaugrana colours.

Getafe then struggled against the Catalans' dominance. After several dangerous attacks, Gabriel Jesus doubled the lead in the 30th minute. Making his first start for Barça, the Brazilian forward won the ball before finishing with a diagonal shot to give his side a comfortable advantage before the break.
Lamine Yamal and Jules Koundé even had chances to extend the lead before half-time, but could not take them. After the interval, the pace dropped slightly, but Barcelona remained in control of the match.
Koundé makes history and scores
The evening took on special significance for Jules Koundé. With his 194th appearance in a Barça shirt, the French defender became the most-capped French player in the club's history, surpassing Éric Abidal.
And he celebrated the record in the best possible way. In the 73rd minute, following a precise cross from Lamine Yamal after a short corner, Koundé appeared in the box to score the Catalans' third goal. The goal definitively sealed Barça's victory.
Eight wins in eight matches
With 24 points from a possible 24, Barcelona are maintaining their perfect Liga record and matching their best start to a league season since 2013-14. The Catalan club also retain a comfortable lead at the top of the table ahead of the other matches of the day.
Barça's next assignment will be a European trip to face Galatasaray in the Champions League. Hansi Flick's men will approach the fixture with maximum confidence after this latest collective display.
