Beşiktaş sets Wilfried Ndidi's price tag

Wilfried Ndidi could bring some late drama to Beşiktaş's transfer window. The Nigerian midfielder is attracting interest from several Saudi clubs, but the Istanbul management won't let him go for just any price.

Beşiktaş demands €10 million

Signed last summer from Leicester City for €8 million, Wilfried Ndidi quickly established himself as a key figure in the squad. According to the Turkish press, Al-Ittihad and Al-Diriyah are closely monitoring the situation of the 29-year-old and are preparing a bid to try and lure him away.

If he leaves, Beşiktaş hopes to recoup around €10 million. Despite interest from Saudi Arabia, sporting director Önder Özen has made it clear that no official offer has landed on the club's desk so far:

There is interest coming from Saudi Arabia, but we have not received any written offer for Wilfried Ndidi.

However, talks could accelerate in the coming days if the Saudi clubs decide to make a move.

Our analysis

Beşiktaş does not seem opposed to Wilfried Ndidi's departure, but only under the club's terms. By setting a €10 million price tag, the management is sending a clear message: the Nigerian will only be sold if an offer meets their expectations. Until then, Ndidi remains a key player in the black-and-white squad.
