In the mixed zone after the 1-1 draw against Ecuador, the Atlas Lions' goalkeeper did not avoid questions about CAF's decision—a topic that has sparked intense debate in recent days.

"We're focused on what's ahead. We're not getting involved in all that. Do we feel like champions? My answer is the same as the one given by our Federation, and that's it," stated the Al Hilal shot-stopper.

He added: "The episode we went through during the AFCON was tough for the squad. But the Moroccan national team managed to overcome it mentally. It wasn't an easy period, but we handled our matches well."

The former Sevilla goalkeeper was among those who displayed remarkable sportsmanship in this affair, congratulating his club teammate Kalidou Koulibaly despite losing on the pitch.
