CAN 2025 – DRC: Arthur Masuaku unavailable against Botswana
DR Congo head coach Sebastien Desabre will have to set up his starting eleven against Botswana for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations without Arthur Masuaku.
The Sunderland full-back picked up an injury during the clash with Senegal (1-1) and was seen limping out of the stadium after the match.

The French tactician broke the news in his pre-match press conference: “Arthur Masuaku underwent an MRI on Sunday. He has a sprain, which rules him out of the match against Botswana. The tests showed he suffered a minor ankle sprain. He will miss the game,” he revealed.

With 4 points on the board, DR Congo currently sit second in the group, trailing Senegal only on goal difference.
The Leopards will be looking to overcome Botswana and outdo the Teranga Lions to finish top of Group D.
