The Africa Women’s Cup of Nations will take place from July 26 to August 19 in Morocco. Group B features South Africa, Tanzania, Ivory Coast, and Burkina Faso.

The teams in Group B

South Africa is one of only three nations to have lifted this trophy. Crowned champions in 2022, Banyana Banyana will be making their 14th appearance at the AFCON, having finished fourth in 2024. They secured qualification by defeating DR Congo (1-1, 0-1) in the second qualifying round.

Tanzania is set for its third appearance in the finals after two group stage exits in 2010 and 2024, having qualified by overcoming Ethiopia (2-0, 1-0) in the qualifiers.

Ivory Coast was granted a spot among the best second-round losers according to the FIFA ranking. This will be their third AFCON, with their best result being a bronze medal in their last appearance in 2014.

Burkina Faso will play in their second AFCON, following their 2022 debut when they exited in the group stage. They qualified with back-to-back wins over Togo (2-0, 1-0).
