Vozinha is going through a more difficult period after a complicated evening with Cape Verde. The 40-year-old goalkeeper, who stood out at the 2026 World Cup, was directly involved in the third goal conceded against Mali.

A mistake directly responsible for the third goal

During Cape Verde's defeat to Mali (3-1) in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying, Vozinha made a mistake on Mali's third goal. Coming out of his area to deal with a long ball, the goalkeeper tried to control it before losing possession to his opponent. According to the information available, his initial contract runs for six months, with the possibility of an automatic one-season extension under certain conditions. One of them is playing time amounting to at least 50% of the minutes played by Colo-Colo during the period in question.
