Christian Pulisic opens the door to extending his contract with Milan
Christian Pulisic is making no secret of his desire to stay at AC Milan. As discussions continue over a contract extension, the American forward has expressed his attachment to the Lombardy club and shown optimism about the future of his collaboration with the Rossoneri.
A contract through 2031 under consideration
Christian Pulisic’s contract is nearing its expiry date, although Milan have an option to extend it through 2028. The club’s management nevertheless wants to secure the American’s future further, having signed him in 2023. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, an offer for a new contract through 2031 has reportedly been made. It would include an annual net salary of €5 million, plus bonuses.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, the 28-year-old confirmed his desire to continue his journey in Milan.
I really like Milan. The club gives me everything and provides me with a great deal of help. I’m focusing on playing, but we will discuss it, hopefully, very soon. I’m really enjoying myself in Milan and I want to stay here.
A positive relationship with Rúben Amorim
Pulisic also discussed his first impressions of Rúben Amorim. The forward says he is satisfied with the work being done with the new coach and believes the team is making progress in absorbing his instructions:
I have a very positive view of him. We are learning his system and the way he wants us to play. Our last match was one of the best, and we want to build on it.
Since joining Milan, Pulisic has played 137 official matches, recording 43 goals and 28 assists. Those statistics illustrate his contribution to the club’s attacking department. For now, the player is prioritising matters on the pitch while clearly expressing his intention to continue his career with the Rossoneri.
