Milan to extend Pavlović until 2031
AC Milan are on the verge of securing Strahinja Pavlović’s future. According to journalists Matteo Moretto and Fabrizio Romano, the Lombardy club have reached an agreement with the Serbian centre-back to extend his contract until the summer of 2031. An official announcement is now reportedly expected.
Agreement reached for five additional seasons
Having joined Milan in 2024 from RB Salzburg for around €18.5 million, Pavlović has gradually established himself in the Milan squad. The 25-year-old defender has made 80 appearances in the Rossoneri shirt, scoring seven goals and providing four assists.
His start to the 2026-2027 season confirms his importance: he has featured in the first six rounds of Serie A, playing every match in its entirety. His current contract runs until June 30, 2028, with an option to extend. The new agreement would now tie him to the club until mid-2031, demonstrating Milan’s desire to build around him for the long term.
A player already attracting interest in England
Pavlović had already attracted the attention of several European clubs. According to several media reports, Crystal Palace were particularly interested in him in 2025 and reportedly made an offer of €28 million, which was ultimately rejected by Milan.
Milan’s management therefore does not appear willing to part with their defender in the immediate future. An extension would allow the club to strengthen its defence while also improving its position in any potential future negotiations.
