It appears that Pitso Mosimane’s work in South Africa is garnering increasing admiration from everyone, including local coaches in the Betway Premiership; following the departure of Hugo Broos, the experienced Pitso Mosimane took the helm.
Fernando Cruz is happy with Pitso Mosimane's work
Fernando Da Cruz, the man in charge at Kaizer Chiefs, has offered his take on how Bafana Bafana have been faring since Pitso Mosimane took the reins.
The Soweto outfit had expected midfielder Lebohang Maboe to fly the club's flag in the national squad named for the latest AFCON qualifiers and international friendlies during the FIFA break.
Injury, however, forced Maboe out of the setup, and he is now concentrating on getting back to full fitness.
Da Cruz said he tuned in to Bafana Bafana's clashes with Guinea, Eritrea and Egypt, and he came away pleased with what he saw, especially since the team won all three matches.
The Chiefs boss also made a point of urging patience with the national side, noting that the players are still finding their feet under a new coach and his approach.
In his words, Bafana Bafana rank among the finest teams on the continent, and while the new head coach deserves time, the matches he has overseen have been encouraging.
Da Cruz added that he enjoyed the team's performance in the game he watched, but reiterated that time is needed, particularly as the coach is still getting to know a fresh group of players.
