Como: Assane Diao scores in consecutive Champions League matches
Assane Diao scored his second goal in the Champions League this Wednesday, October 14, against Feyenoord. Despite his opener, Como lost 3-2 in the Netherlands.
Assane Diao is continuing his run in the Champions League. Starting for Como against Feyenoord, the Senegal international opened the scoring in the 18th minute, after an assist from Jacobo Ramón. Sent through into space, he gave the Italian club a temporary lead.
This goal takes his tally in the competition to two. Diao had already scored in Como’s previous European match against RB Leipzig, which they won 4-1 on September 10. He has therefore found the net in two consecutive Champions League matches.

A difficult evening for Como
The Senegalese player’s opener was not enough to secure a positive result for his team. Feyenoord quickly responded through Gjivai Zechiël, who scored in the 20th minute. The Dutch side then took the lead and eventually won 3-2.
Assane Diao’s evening was also cut short. After picking up an injury to his left thigh, the forward requested to be substituted in the 23rd minute. Jesús Rodríguez came on in his place. The severity of the injury remains to be determined.
