Fenerbahçe have moved into pole position to land Atlético Madrid striker Alexander Sørloth, with the Turkish outfit prepared to shell out roughly €40 million to reinforce their attacking options.

As reported by Matteo Moretto via beIN Sports, the Yellow Canaries now lead the chase for the 29-year-old frontman, who remains tied to Atlético until the summer of 2028—though the Spanish side are willing to listen to offers that match their valuation.

Should Sørloth depart, Atlético would immediately redirect those proceeds toward squad improvements, with Dušan Vlahović emerging as their primary target. The Serbian hitman is poised to become a free agent once his Juventus contract runs out, and Atlético have already opened preliminary discussions over a potential move—though trimming their wage bill first remains a prerequisite.

That makes Sørloth's exit something of a domino piece: his switch to Fenerbahçe could clear the financial path for Vlahović to arrive in the Spanish capital. For the Istanbul giants, landing the Norwegian would represent a major statement of intent heading into the new campaign.
