Bradley Barcola describes Ousmane Dembélé as a fun teammate off the pitch. However, he is laser-focused once he steps onto the field.

"Off the pitch, he's always joking around, we talk about everything, he laughs, cracks jokes and pulls pranks. But as soon as we step onto the pitch, he’s all business. The first time I really spoke to him off the field, then saw him on it, I thought: 'This guy is unbelievable! How can he be so laid-back off the pitch and so intense on it?' It’s amazing to play alongside him, he gives us advice, talks to everyone. Playing with him is just top notch.", the French player told Téléfoot.
