France team: Mbappé, Real Madrid staff angry

On Friday, Kylian Mbappé was injured against Turkey (1-0) in the Nations League. At Real Madrid, the staff of Zinédine Zidane is being criticised.

Kylian Mbappé avoided the worst. The France captain is suffering from hyperextension of the posterior capsule of his left knee. This means he is expected to be sidelined for between 10 and 12 days. However, according to information from the newspaper L'Equipe on Sunday, the way the French national team managed the situation involving the Les Bleus captain annoyed the Merengue medical staff.

Last Monday, the former Paris Saint-Germain player arrived at Clairefontaine with slight pain in that knee, and the Casa Blanca had communicated all the information on the matter to the French doctors. Real Madrid had sent a message: caution was needed with Mbappé at the start of this international break. The Madrid club's officials had even hoped that he would be rested against Turkey.

In order to avoid further tensions, France manager Zinédine Zidane also released his star very quickly after his injury to allow him to undergo additional examinations under the supervision of the Madrid staff.
