Egyptian striker Hamza Abdelkarim opened the scoring for FC Barcelona against Al Ahly in the Joan Gamper Trophy, played at Camp Nou.

Hamza Abdelkarim found the back of the net in the 31st minute, putting Barça ahead against his former club.

The Egyptian striker, however, chose not to celebrate his goal, instead opting to apologize to the Al Ahly supporters as a mark of respect for his former team.

Abdelkarim continues his impressive preseason with FC Barcelona. He now has 4 goals in 5 matches since the start of preparations.

Al Ahly started the match with Mostafa Shobeir in goal. The defense consisted of Karim Fouad, Hady Riad, Amr El Gazar, and Mohamed Hany.

In midfield, Marwan Attia, Ahmed Nabil Kouka, and Ahmed Zizo were given the nod, while the attacking trio featured Taher Mohamed, Soufiane Bendjida, and Achraf Bencharki.

On the other side, FC Barcelona lined up with Joan Garcia between the sticks. The defense was made up of Alejandro Balde, Gerard Martin, Eric Garcia, and Jules Koundé.

In the middle of the park, Xavi Espart, Fermin Lopez, and Marc Bernal started. Up front, Lamine Yamal, Hamza Abdelkarim, and Raphinha led the attack.
