On Thursday evening, Iran wrapped up their preparations for the 2026 World Cup with a controlled victory over Mali (2-0).

At the end of a behind-closed-doors match in Antalya, Turkey, Iran overcame Mali. Focused and disciplined, Amir Ghalenoei’s men seized the advantage early through Ezatolahi (12’), before Rezaeian doubled the lead in the second half (55’). The Iranians thus maintained their positive momentum following their win against Gambia (3-1) a few days earlier.

Team Melli will now head to Mexico full of confidence ahead of their 2026 World Cup opener against Belgium.
