Galatasaray: Wilfried Singo set to return after the international break
Wilfried Singo is finally nearing a return. The Galatasaray defender, who has been injured since the start of the season, is expected to return to action after the next international break, according to Milliyet on Saturday.
His comeback will not be rushed. The Turkish club wants to give the Ivorian international the necessary time before bringing him back and plans to gradually ease him back into competitive action.
Just 41 minutes since the start of the season
Singo has barely had the opportunity to establish himself in the team this season. The 25-year-old has made just two appearances, totaling 41 minutes on the pitch.
That is well below the expectations surrounding him following his arrival at Galatasaray. His injury disrupted his start to the season and delayed his integration into the Istanbul club's defense.
The international break should therefore provide additional time to prepare for his return. Galatasaray would rather wait than take any unnecessary risks with his comeback.
Singo's future already being discussed in Turkey
Singo's situation has also been mentioned in reports concerning the upcoming January transfer window. Turkish media have suggested that Galatasaray could part ways with the Ivorian, along with İlkay Gündoğan and Kaan Ayhan.
For now, that remains transfer speculation, with no official decision announced by the club. Before considering a potential departure, Singo's priority is to return to the pitch and get playing time.
