Germany: Jürgen Klopp secures his first win with Die Mannschaft
After a draw against the Netherlands and a defeat to Greece, Jürgen Klopp secured his first win in charge of Germany. Die Mannschaft beat Serbia 2-0 on Thursday, October 1.
Germany made the difference at the Allianz Arena through Tom Bischof and Florian Wirtz. Bischof opened the scoring in the 39th minute after a shot from Wirtz was pushed onto the post. The German midfielder followed up to win back the ball and give Die Mannschaft the lead.
After the break, Wirtz scored Germany’s second goal in the 61st minute. The Liverpool player thus played a direct part in his team’s success after already being involved in the opening goal.

A first win after two matches without victory
This victory allows Klopp to get off the mark with Germany. On his debut, the German coach had seen his side draw 1-1 with the Netherlands before losing 1-0 to Greece.
Against Serbia, Die Mannschaft kept a clean sheet this time and secured their first win since Klopp took charge. The Germany coach will now have to confirm this result on the next matchday, with another meeting against Greece on October 4.
